Arizona Licensed Practical Nurse: No CE Hours Required
The state of Arizona does not require CE hours in regards to licensure or renewal. Instead, Licensed Practical Nurses must complete one of the following practice requirements every five (5) years:
- Have practiced as a nurse for at least 960 hours in the past five (5) years
- Have graduated from a nursing program within the past five (5) years with receipt of degree
- Have completed a refresher course approved by the Arizona Board in the past five (5) years
- Have obtained an advanced nursing degree (LPN to RN, RN to BSN, a masters or doctorate in nursing) in the past five (5) years
Arizona is a member of the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, allowing for practice in specific states with only a single state’s license. Details can be found here.
Licensed Practical Nurses do not have CE requirements related to licensure or renewal, and therefore do not have a deadline for completion. For further details regarding the licensure and renewal of a nursing license in Arizona, please visit the Arizona Board website.
